"The Air Force removing the Tuskegee Airmen from training videos is pathetic, disgraceful, and disrespectful, not only to the brave fighter pilots who saved the Allied Forces in World War II, but to the City of Tuskegee and the entire State of Alabama. It is a slap in the face of the heroic Black men who risked and sacrificed their lives on the front lines in defense of a country that still made them sit in the back of the bus when they returned home.

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Shomari C. Figures announced  $724,912 in federal funding to enhance electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Troy, Alabama. This project involves installing 10 new EV charging stations at prominent locations across the city.

Washington, DC -  "I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I do not believe that biological males should be allowed to compete against biological females in sports.

Alabama state law and our athletic governing bodies already prohibit this. And in the entire history of the State of Alabama, there has never been a male athlete to attempt to play on a female sports team.

Washington, DC - Today, Congressman Shomari Figures (D-AL) was named to the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and the House Agriculture Committee for the 119th Congress.

Figures is the only member of the Alabama Congressional delegation named to the Transportation and Infrastructure committee, and is one of two members from Alabama on the Agriculture committee.
