“The House Republicans’ budget sends a clear message to hardworking Americans: we do not care about you or your family. I voted against this bill because I cannot support a budget that adds nearly $2 trillion to the national deficit while cutting critical programs like Medicaid and SNAP that is a lifeline for millions of Americans.

Figures (AL-02) announced today that he is a lead co-sponsor for the Cover Outstanding Vulnerable Expansion-Eligible Residents Now (COVER Now) Act to expand health care coverage to millions of Americans who remain uninsured due to state-level refusals to accept federal Medicaid expansion funds.
